Old Business:

1. Precinct caucuses will be held 2/9/2008 and training for PCOs will be held in January.

1. Votebuilder training Nov. 11, 2 pm

Officer's Reports:

1. State Committeeman and Committeewoman: Anita Latch reported that caucus training and votebuilder training continues in Pierce County. Was in Spokane for the Eastern Washington Organizing Conference where among other things, caucus training issues were discussed. 2. Eboard members: Jerry Abbott reported he will be presenting Howard

Dean's program to recruit precinct committees. Jerry needs volunteers to

help with our Spring fundraiser scheduled for March 15th at the Givens

Center Gym.

3. Chair: Ask Susan for votebuilder username and password if you don't already have them. Kitsap County precinct caucus sites have been selected; not many changes from 2004.

4. Vice Chairs: Gerry Baldwin has precinct caucus sites set up for Pierce County and they are listed on the website. Treasurer: Renee Proctor-Brown reported that we have $6207 in our account.

Presentations:

Susan Cruver – Corn and Global Warming. An overview of the roadblocks to eating locally, which is recommended as a way to fight global warming.

MONTE MAHAN:

Monte buys over produced food from farmers and distributes to the elderly and needy, Cabbages for Democracy... Mary Coburn helped him do this recently. January 28, 2008, Joel Salatin will speak at the Pierce County Conservation District about growing and buying locally grown produce. Call 253-845-9700 to get on the mailing list and fmd out more. Monte explained his connection to Commissioner Jan Angel, he has known her almost all his life because of political connections between the families, etc., and he assured us he would be running against Jan if, in fact, she decides to run for another term.

RYAN DUMM: Representative from Norm Dick's office reported Norm voted against tabling Dennis Kucinich's resolution to impeach V.P. Cheney.

RIVER STANLEY-CURTIS: Appealed for a kidney donor
